What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Foreman position at The Lemoine Company?
LEMOINE is looking for a Foreman. A Foreman is an advanced level position with the purpose of assisting superintendents with administrative, supervisory, and skilled tasks in the maintenance and completion of a construction project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Under limited supervision, must be able to handle all aspects related to personnel management on a construction project site.
- Should inspect his work area on a daily basis for any unsafe acts and conditions, make decisions pertaining to production and provide leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range plans.
- proficiency reading blueprints, resolving conflicts, learning managerial skills, and acquiring cross-training.
- Perform other duties assigned by the project superintendent or field engineer.
Required Qualifications:
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs
- Hand/eye coordination, depth perception important
- Must be able to drive cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment
- Hearing and comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy
- May be performing tasks involving physical labor on construction projects
- May operate hand and power tools of all types
- Climb and maintain balance on equipment
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Position may require prolonged sitting
- May assist other craft workers as needed
