Summary of a Mid-Shift Warehouse Supervisor:
Directs warehouse activities Sunday through Thursday, during the mid shift (12pm start) hours in accordance with Anheuser-Busch, Inc., standards, state and federal beverage laws and the standard operating procedures and policies of The Lewis Bear Companies management by performing the following duties
Responsibilities of a Mid-Shift Warehouse Supervisor:
- Directly supervises employees in the warehouse department (case selectors warehouse crew). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with The Lewis Bear Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance and resolving problems.
- Supervises and coordinates a mid-shift warehouse crew to select orders and loading product for delivery, while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory accuracy.
- Assign loaders to route trucks, assist with reloads, load verifying and staging of product.
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of warehouse functions including proper manpower utilization and completion of all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment and coordinates with the Warehouse Manager for vehicle maintenance and for physical maintenance required outside of minor general repairs. Prepare requests for repair or replacement of equipment.
- Conferring with the Warehouse Manager to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control and purchasing.
- Must be motivated and a self-starter with the ability to motivate others.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels of outdated and damaged beverage paperwork.
- Develop and implement procedures to minimize warehouse personnel costs by improving efficiency and reducing overtime.
- Oversee work quality and productivity, unloading internal stock transfers, while maintaining the proper rotation of inventory.
- Prepare reports on all unresolved issues with warehouse, crew, sales force or equipment for review by the Warehouse and Operations Manager.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse, to include all housekeeping activities and handling general maintenance duties as assigned.
- Ensure that the equipment is organized and readily available, while ensuring the building and warehouse security systems are maintained and in place.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Requirements of a Mid-Shift Warehouse Supervisor:
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school; and at least two-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High-level of proficiency with MS Office for conducting data analysis and statistical reporting.
- Detailed and solution oriented, critical thinking, problem-solver with a high warehouse acumen is a must.
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal, informational, managerial, and organizational skillsets.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence to include root cause analysis and countermeasures, when required. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Must possess or be willing to earn a CDL permit or CDL-A (with less than seven (7) points).
- Be willing to train on all equipment and possess the proficiency to train others.
