The Library Restaurant & Pub is the premier restaurant on the Southwest side of Indianapolis. Family owned and operated, our upscale-casual restaurant has a long history of delighting guests by providing exceptional dining experiences to everyone that comes through our doors. We do this by providing incredible food and phenomenal service in a uniquely casual atmosphere. Position and Qualifications

We are looking for a Host/Expediter who will be a critical member of our team. Your job will be to assist in the smooth flow of the front of the house, including warmly greeting our guests, seating the guests at the appropriate tables, and supporting our team as necessary by helping deliver guests meals when needed, cleaning, taking to-go orders and resetting tables after the guests depart.

Qualities we need from our applicants include:

• Applicants should also be able to be calm, and solve issues professionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to communicate and understand English
• Possess suitable communication skills to create a positive interaction experience with guests
• Be capable of reading a map and interpreting written directions
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and make change
• You must be reliable, responsible, and organized with high attention to detail.
• You should be warm, have a friendly personality, and enjoy speaking with guests.
• Be motivated, proactive, and able to complete large amounts of work efficiently and effectively.
• You must have a professional attitude and appearance – we are laid back, but we still hold ourselves to the highest standard of professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Be a team player- support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible.
• Report to work on scheduled days at the scheduled times
• Answer phones (take reservations, answer guest questions, take food orders, etc.)
• Handle other tasks, as necessary
