What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Maintenance Technician position at The Life Church of Memphis?
Summary:
The Regional Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of The Life Church locations within the Memphis region. The position includes performing facility maintenance and assisting with janitorial duties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to*:
- Maintain overall building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, waste management, inventory, and supplies
- Respond to facility maintenance issues
- Point of contact for facility vendors and contractors
- Assist with managing campus facility budgets
- Assist with inventory and maintenance supply stock
- Lead and recruit volunteers for facility repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
- Complete assigned work orders
- Maintain work and storage areas used by facilities and maintenance teams
Perform emergency maintenance calls outside of normal work days and hours
Attributes and skills required:
- Familiar with methods and materials of commercial building maintenance and construction
- Physically able to lift 50lbs, use ladders and operate basic equipment associated with building maintenance e.g. scissor lift, floor buffer, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical, plumping, and HVAC systems
- Proficient in sheetrock repair and painting
- Basic computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office, G Suite, or willing to learn
- Work well within a team environment and volunteers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Organized with emails, communication, paperwork, etc.
- Self motivated and the ability to work independently
- Ability to intermittently work nights, weekends, and overtime
