Position: Operations Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
The Operation’s Manager will provide direction and decision making to the Planning / Staging Departments.
The Operations Manager is expected to become an expert in all the functions of the Planning and Staging Department, and be able to fill any position, as needed. The Operations Manager will coordinate priorities with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and Accounting to meet ongoing needs and TLC’s financial objectives.
The Operations Manager will oversee the proper issuance of raw materials, and oversight of TLC’s Make-To-Strock Program and Component Inventory Program. The ideal candidate will be an active participant in the day-to-day tasks and operations, this is a role that requires a hands-on approach.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor forecast for oversells/undersells
- Calculate capacity planning activities
- Ensure all staging personnel are following procedures properly to stage work for the floor
- Interact with the Logistics Manager/Manufacturing Manager to resolve any transaction errors
- Assign stagers work based on established priorities from Planning/Operations/Logistics
- Ensure the staging staff operates at high productivity
- Maintain a 24-48 hour minimum of stages at each production line
- Expeditor, determines order status and works directly with manufacturing on setting priorities
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure Planning and staging operations proceed without interruption
- Generate reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Weekly meetings to review status (Weekly Status/Monthly Forecast/Inventory/Obstacles)
- Follow thru with manufactured products – MRB/QA/Rework
Additional requirements:

- Communication: Communicate complex ideas clearly to different audiences
- Leadership: Delegate responsibilities and resolve conflicts
- Organizational skills: Design solutions to keep teams and processes on track
- Problem solving: Ensure that all departments are functioning smoothly and efficiently
- Experience: Proven work experience as an operations manager or similar role
- Additional tasks as identified by manager as needed
- Requires a 2-year degree, 4-year degree preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
