Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team at The Lighthouse Early Learning and Development Center. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering engaging educational experiences while ensuring the safety and well-being of our young learners.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of daily educational activities and lesson plans.
- Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among children.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus but not required.
