What You’ll Do
As our Specification Sales Manager, you’ll play a critical role in managing our business development efforts in Washington DC to drive business growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promote and demonstrate our woodworking products to architects, contractors, and specification managers through presentations, training sessions, and field support.
- Educate architects and designers on the benefits and features of our product line to drive specification adoption.
- Identify new project opportunities and track them from the design phase to installation.
- Develop and implement pull-through sales strategies to replace competing products with our custom woodworking solutions.
- Maintain accurate project tracking in the company’s CRM system and follow up to ensure specified products are not replaced.
- Provide technical expertise and collaborate with internal teams to offer solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional project requirements.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competition, and new product developments to effectively position our product offerings.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in architectural sales, ideally within the woodworking or millwork industry.
- Strong understanding of architectural and design specifications and processes.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with technical drawings and specifications to provide tailored solutions.
- Experience using CRM systems to track sales and project activities.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
