Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated ESL Teacher who is a follower of Jesus Christ to teach English in a business environment. This position is ideal for someone who is committed to integrating their faith into their teaching practice, creating a positive and respectful learning environment. The ESL teacher will focus on helping adult students improve their English communication skills for career advancement, while also fostering character development based on Christian principles such as integrity, teamwork, and service.
Instruction and Lesson Planning:
- Create individualized lesson plans based on the student’s learning needs, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Teach subjects as per the curriculum, while adjusting for each student’s pace and learning style.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, hands-on activities, and multimedia tools, to engage students and promote understanding.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Regularly assess student performance through conversations and assignments.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to the student and their manager as necessary.
- Adjust lesson plans based on assessment results and student progress.
Student Support:
- Provide personalized support to help students with vocabulary.
- Address specific learning difficulties
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment to build the student’s confidence and academic abilities.
Communication:
- Communicate regularly with adult students to discuss the progress, challenges, and improvements.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents to ensure their understanding of the student’s academic development.
Organizational Duties:
- Keep detailed records of lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and productive teaching environment.
- You are committed to work independently with minimal supervision.
Adapting to Student Needs:
- Modify teaching techniques to accommodate the student’s unique learning style.
- Stay updated on new educational strategies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
