Job Summary:
The Associate Structural Engineer will play a key role in the success of our team by overseeing various projects, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting business development efforts.
- Oversee various projects, including performing site investigations, conducting structural analysis and design tasks, and supervising project teams.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals in the pursuit of new work.
- Attend local industry and business development functions.
- Coordinate staffing needs, project financial performance, and revenue projections as a project manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality structural engineering services and expertise.
- Lead and manage project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement project plans and schedules.
- Manage project finances and resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master's Degree a plus.
- 8 years' minimum experience in Structural Engineering practice.
- NY PE required; SE Licensure a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mentor-ship skills.
- Ability to supervise, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to technical staff.
- Understanding and application of NYC and NYS code requirements.
- Experience in using various structural analysis software.
- Ability to multitask, work on multi-disciplinary teams, and consistently meet deadlines.
- AUTO CAD and REVIT experience a plus.
