Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of large-scale building projects valued above $1 million. This will involve inspecting construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications, as well as documenting inspections and reporting any issues.
You will also be responsible for coordinating scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on time. In addition, you will monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
A strong understanding of contract documents, including specifications and drawings, is essential for this role. Additionally, you must be able to communicate effectively with both clients and construction contractors/subcontractors.
