The Senior Associate Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing various projects as project manager; the technical mentor-ship of local staff; supporting business development efforts; delivering consistent technical quality, successful project delivery, and client satisfaction.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented structural engineers in the pursuit and execution of projects within an energetic and diverse multi-disciplinary office
- Oversee a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks for new and existing structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood / timber buildings and related structures;
- Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and document structural deficiencies
- Oversee condition assessments and load ratings of various structures
- Supervise and assist in the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
- Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects;
- Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small renovations to large scale new construction
- Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff
- Lead in the preparation of technical proposals in the pursuit of new work
- Attend local industry and business development functions
- Coordinate staffing needs, project financial performance, and revenue projections as a project manager
