POSITION : Sales & Catering Director

DEPARTMENT : Sales

REPORTS TO : Director of Operations

Pay : Exempt; Salary negotiable; eligible for quarterly commission based on sales business actualized

As the Director of Sales & Catering , you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and maintaining our reputation as a premier destination. You will lead a high-performing sales and catering team, develop strategic sales and catering initiatives, and collaborate with various departments to ensure the success of our hotel.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

Sales & Catering Leadership :

  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales & catering team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue across all resort offerings, including accommodations, dining, events, and activities.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy :

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Use market insights to develop and adjust sales strategies to meet changing customer demands.
  • Establish pricing strategies that balance revenue goals with guest value.
  • Team Management and Development :

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Set individual and team sales targets and track performance against KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Relationship Building :

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners, travel agencies, event planners, and corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance the hotel's brand image and visibility in the market.
  • Revenue Optimization :

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
  • Develop and manage the annual sales budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Customer Experience :

  • Ensure that the guest experience aligns with the resort's commitment to excellence.
  • Work closely with the guest services and operations teams to address customer feedback and improve service quality.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • years of experience in sales or catering leadership roles, preferably in the hospitality
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Opera and sales management software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
