Pay: Train at $18/hour. Once probation period is complete, based on performance, you can earn anywhere from $20-22/hour

Instructors report directly to the gym owner and are responsible for teaching exceptional classes and delivering The Little Gym programs according to standards and recommendations. To teach the best classes, an Instructor must be physically fit, energetic, and enthusiastic. They must learn several different Lesson Plans and be able to implement them based on the needs of individual students and classes. An Instructor must have the ability to juggle several tasks and adapt well to change. They must relate well to children, parents, and team members. Instructors are also the front line of customer communication and service. They must be able to assist in the promotion of The Little Gym and sell the program at every opportunity.

ALL Instructor Duties:
Under the direction and supervision of a Director, position duties include:
-
Work with a Director to complete Instructor training for all programs (classes, Camps, Birthday, PSN, etc.) you teach at The Little Gym, using the Instructor Training System (ITS) and other training resources, tools and formats (Training videos, Lesson Plans, Skill Cards, Developmental Gymnastics Manual, Extranet documents, role plays, etc.)

Study and commit to memory all Lesson Plans (Classes, Camps, Birthday, PSN, etc) and specific, age-appropriate objectives for each program you teach at The Little Gym

Participate in evaluations and feedback sessions designed to improve your teaching ability, as scheduled and facilitated by the Program and Gym Directors

Attend Team meetings and training sessions as scheduled by the Owner or Directors
-
Review and practice weekly class announcements as assigned by a Director, ensuring that you are prepared to deliver appropriate benefit communication to parents during each and every class
-
Participate in the weekly gym set-up, as scheduled by a Director. Manage your time prior to each class or event to prepare the gym, equipment, music, etc.

Maintain a safe, fun and productive class environment through the use of proper class management techniques, safety guidelines and assessing the needs of the group
-
Deliver superior customer service in the lobby and at front desk as scheduled
-
Convert trial class participants into members and retain them from semester to semester through the teaching of great classes, thorough communication, and asking them to enroll
-
Ensure that student records are maintained accurately, including attendance, family records and account information
-
Assist in the daily phone calls; marketing, “no-show,” trial reminder, make-up, etc.

Maintain safe classroom conditions. Report any unsafe equipment or materials to the a Director. Take appropriate action to correct any problems
-
Participate in cleaning and maintenance of the facility
-
Complete and follow up on accident reports as necessary, and notify a Director
-
Effectively resolve customer concerns or requests. Report issues that you cannot settle to a Director
-
Perform opening and/or closing procedures as scheduled
-
Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Owner and Directors within given time and quality specifications
Lead Instructor Specific Duties:
Under the direction and supervision of a Director, the Lead Instructors’ duties include:

70 – 85% of working hours will be spent teaching exceptional classes as scheduled. Variation in time is dependent on other tasks and responsibilities assigned

The focal point of a class or other event is the Lead Instructor. S/he is the person in charge of the majority of the activities, timing, and communication within the class or event. See the Instructor Training System for more details on duties within each program

Coordinate all instructors to ensure all duties are completed and the class or event runs smoothly
-
Complete Lead Instructor training for all programs (classes, Camps, Birthday, PSN, etc.) you teach at The Little Gym. Continue training to achieve higher ITS certifications as assigned by a Director

Be the main contact for parents. Take ownership and pride of any class, birthday, camp, PSN, etc. that you teach. Keep it organized and effective. Build relationships with the members and potential members in that program.
Salary : $20 - $22
