PRIMARY FOCUS:
The responsibility of the Inventory Control - Shipper is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of product within the warehouse and truck. The position will also be responsible for performing in a manner that protects food safety and the quality of LPC’s product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Follow instruction from the Senior Inventory Control Supervisor and/or Lead who will determine the priority of job duties.
· Can operates a forklift to move materials
· Update of inventory count, report, and reconcile of packaging material as indicated by Supervisor or Lead.
· Unload packaging materials, put away staged packaging materials, compare packing list to what we physically receive, label materials as needed.
· Perform inspection of inbound packaging materials, calling out any issues that are found.
· Maintain order and rotation of packaging materials in packaging area. Ensuring items are kept in the same general area each day and consolidating like items.
· Complete daily / weekly cycle counts of packaging materials.
· Pull samples of packaging materials as needed and directed my Supervisor, Lead and/or Quality.
· Attention to detail on tags and paperwork.
· Organization and housekeeping (sweeping and emptying trash) of shipping area daily or as needed.
· Perform Shipping duties as time allows, including putting away production pallets, loading/unloading trucks, picking orders, etc.
· Communicate any issues to Supervisor and/or Lead.
· Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Forklift Certification would be an asset.
· Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products.
· Ability to speak, read and write English is required.
· Lift up to 50lbs of goods repeatedly.
· Bilingual in English/Spanish would be an asset.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or twist.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exertion of physical strength to push, pull, move and lift objects up to 50 pounds from one level to another at varying heights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may occasionally experience extreme heat, cold, dust, and odors. The work environment can by noisy and has typical hazards associated with closeness to moving mechanical parts and exposure to powered machinery, which LPC take steps to mitigate in compliance with OSHA requirements.

Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret business and technical documents, flow charts, budget information, procedure manuals and other instructions documents; the ability to prepare required routine reports and correspondence; abili ty to communicate effectively with others, using skill and diplomacy and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization .
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers/decimals and the ability to apply concepts of business math and statistics to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITIES:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram format. Must possess strong knowledge, understanding and experience in various problem -solving and participatory management techniques.
TECHNICIAL ABILITIES:
Must possess knowledge and experience in automated systems and terminology and the ability to develop and interpret related reports using ERP, spreadsheet, word processing and graphics software. Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier and so on.
SAFE QUALITY FOODS:
All staff are responsible to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
In the event key personnel responsible for this role is unavailable, an appropriately trained backup has been assigned to cover the duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.
