Job Purpose
The Customer Service Associate position is responsible for the service of medical and recreational cannabis patients/customers. This position assists the management team in all facets of dispensary operations. This position works one-on-one with patients/customers to recommend products that best match their needs and is responsible for ensuring excellent patient/customer experience through friendly, outgoing service, strong communication skills, and fluency in all products. The CSA understands empathy and compassion, wants to help people and can listen to the patient/customer to understand their needs and what they are looking for.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and interacting with patients/customers and caregivers with authentic passion to serve them.
- Answer questions and provide patient/customer education on cannabis products while providing excellent customer service.
- Thorough knowledge of all program guidelines and relevant Evermore policies and procedures
- Up to date and continued cannabis training/education
- Making sure patient/customer is eligible to and the amount they can purchase/verifying ID
- Handling transactions, giving correct discounts, and correct change, and maintaining proper visitor log
- Knowing opening and closing procedures depending on the shift working
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Maintaining a tidy dispensary, including the front area, sales dispensing floor, consult room, and Assisting with housekeeping, restocking/cleaning where needed
- Ability to learn and to use seed to sale POS software in compliance with program regulations
- Assist in verifying online orders for in store pick-up and delivery
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling accuracy
- Answering phones with proper greeting and taking appropriate messages
- May assist with inventory control
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills and attention to detail
- Affinity for handling multiple demands simultaneously and proficiency with time management
- 21 years of age or older
- Availability to work weeks that include weekdays, weekends, nights and some holidays between the hours of 9:00am up to 10:30pm depending on the shift
- Experience handling cash and a computer point of sale system
- Ability to follow directions well
- Ability to analyze information
- Can work under pressure and handle sometimes difficult patients and handle complexity
- Ability to work well unsupervised

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
- Work may require prolonged standing, sitting, some bending, stooping and crouching
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds
- Duties can regularly require employee to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions that require hand eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, credit card machine, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
