What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend including Overnight Hours position at The Living Vine Christian Maternity Home?
The Living Vine is a residential program for pregnant women who are experiencing homeless and unstable housing environments. We are looking for team members who have compassion for others, strong communication skills, and a positive teamwork attitude.
Under the supervision of the Resident Director, candidates must demonstrate maturity, integrity, and responsibility to hold residents accountable in following policies and procedures.
Direct Duties to include but not limited to:
- Model a loving, supportive, parental figure, while maintaining a professional relationship with each resident.
- Instruct and model life skills including but not limited to cooking, house upkeep, and personal hygiene as needed.
- Oversee and instruct residents in appropriate behavior and social interactions.
- Provide conflict resolution.
- Dispense and document medications as needed.
- Give immediate feedback through nightly notes pertinent information concerning residents when needed.
- Provide transportation for residents in emergency situations using TLV vehicles.
- Attend mandatory house meetings and complete 24 hours training annually.
- Complete shift duties, and responsibilities, and other duties as assigned.
- Perform and assist with all operation, labor and management of both inside and outside of the house which includes but is not limited to lifting, climbing, and bending.
Schedule:
- 2 Weekends per Month
- Friday 6pm-11pm
- Friday on call overnight - required to sleep at The Vine
- Saturday 7am - 11pm
- Saturday on call overnight - required to sleep at The Vine
- Sunday 7am - 6pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
Schedule:
- Overnight shift
- Rotating weekends
