What are the responsibilities and job description for the Babysitter/Nanny position at The Lo Family?
We’re looking for a kind, reliable, and engaging babysitter to join our family support system and help care for our 5-year-old! This role is best suited for someone who enjoys spending time with energetic and curious kids, is dependable, and can be flexible with a changing schedule.
What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
A typical shift might include:
- Weekend outings (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM): Assist with morning care and accompany our child on fun, local outings or activities.
- Evening care for date nights (~7:30 PM – 10:30/11:30 PM): Includes playtime, bedtime routine, and ensuring a calm, safe evening.
- Support during non-holiday/no-school days (e.g. staff development days) and seasonal breaks (Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter): Morning care from 7:00 AM – 12:00/1:00 PM, including structured play, snacks, and indoor/outdoor activities.
- One-off afternoon events: Flexibility to help on special days when we have appointments or other commitments.
- After-school pick-up & care: Meet at school, provide a snack, and engage in low-key activities until a parent is home.

Requirements
- Experience caring for children around age 5
- Comfortable with early mornings and evenings
- Willingness to do a background check (we cover the cost if not recent)
- Reliable transportation (for arrival, pick-ups/drop-offs if needed)
- CPR/First Aid Certified (preferred but not required)
