Position Summary
The Lockwood Group is looking to hire a Senior Logistician to support the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) Investment Program in Huntsville, AL.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide logistics support and strategic guidance for AWCF-funded programs, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with Army objectives.
- Develop and implement logistics policies and procedures to optimize supply chain performance and sustainment operations.
- Conduct lifecycle cost analysis and investment planning to support Army logistics and readiness initiatives.
- Analyze supply chain trends, performance metrics, and risk factors to enhance inventory control and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Army stakeholders, including Program Managers, Financial Analysts, and Supply Chain Managers, to align investment priorities with operational needs.
- Support budget planning, execution, and tracking of AWCF investments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost efficiencies within Army logistics operations.
- Utilize data analytics to assess the impact of AWCF investments on Army sustainment and readiness.
- Develop reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership regarding logistics performance and investment outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or financial management, with a focus on Army or DoD operations.
- Extensive knowledge of the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) and its application to logistics and sustainment programs.
- Strong understanding of Army supply chain management, inventory control, and sustainment processes.
- Experience with Army logistics systems, such as GCSS-Army, LMP, or AESIP.
- Familiarity with DoD financial management regulations and budget execution processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise effectively with military and civilian stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
