Transportation Coordinator
The Lodge at Historic Lewes is a Senior Living Community catering to Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care Residents. We are looking to hire a Transportation Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting our Residents.

Transportation Coordinator is responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
General Day to Day Responsibilities Will Include…
Driving vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule.Assisting disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.Utilizing a radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.Maintaining all community vehicles in good working condition.Cleaning and servicing vehicle with fuel, lubricants, accessories, etc.Assisting with vehicle registration and license plate renewal process.Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.Provide miscellaneous pick-up and delivery services as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.The Right Candidate Should Have...
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Clean-Valid Drivers License with no violations.Other skills required :Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents.Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.Interacts with guests, residents and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.Ability to respond promptly to resident needs.Supports organization's goals and values.Balances team and individual responsibilities.Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.Ability to operate a chair lift and secure regular and mechanical wheelchairs and scooters.Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision.Able to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident’s best interest.Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.Competent knowledge of local area including traffic patterns in order to closely estimate travel times and plans appropriate routes to destinations.Specific vision abilities required by this job include :Color Vision
