What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director-Riverton position at The Lodge at Riverton Assisted Living?
The Lodge at Riverton Assisted Living- is excited to announce we are looking for a full-time Activities Director to join our team in our Riverton facility. The ideal candidate has a fun and energetic personality, experience working with seniors, experience in activity planning and the ability to manage a small team.
TRT license required
Duties include overseeing the facility's activity programs, planning the monthly activities calendars, preparing and running daily activities including games, crafts, etc., coordinating/scheduling various programs to come in to the facility and most importantly having fun with the residents.
Candidates must be able to:

- Communicate well with coworkers and residents
- Work hard and be reliable
- Be creative and have fun
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in social or recreational program within the last 5 years
- Or, Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) or OT Assistant
- Or, Eligible for certification therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional
- Current food handler's permit
- Has a passion for world class, 5 start quality care for our Residents
- Is creative and knows how to make a limited budget work
- Strong team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 1 year previous experience in Skilled Nursing Activities
