Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting residents with activities for daily living. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) identifies special resident problems, reports them immediately to the nurse, and takes an active role to help problem-solve to resolve the issues.

Major Duties and Responsibilities for Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA :

Assist nurses by providing ADL services : Bathing, grooming, dressing, meals, etc.

Document vital signs, weight, meal intake, bowel and bladder, etc.

Assist with Restorative Nursing duties

Performs CNA skills

Identifies special resident problems, reports them immediately to the nurse, and takes an active role to help problem-solve to resolve the issues

Reviews resident profiles and perform nursing cares as outlined

Observe infection control procedures

Always leave the resident in a safe environment

Ambulates and transfers resident per their transfer policy

Helps to mentor new CNAs

Requirements : IDPH Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
