JOB SUMMARY FOR Transportation Aide :
We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Transportation Aide. The position of Transportation Aide is a part-time position and will be responsible for transporting residents to and from their appointments to physicians, laboratories, hospitals, dentists, as well as other appointments as scheduled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION AIDE :
- Reviews appointments with transportation scheduler each day.
- Ensure residents are prepared to leave the facility, personal cleanliness, weather appropriate clothing, etc.
- Retrieves proper paperwork and documentation needed for the appointment from the resident’s Nurse prior to leaving the facility.
- Accompanies residents to appointments and remains with the resident if their family member is not present.
- Transports residents to and from scheduled appointments and approved locations in a safe and responsible manner
- Receives, understands and conveys to the Nursing Staff and / or other persons verbal instructions and explanations from the hospital, doctor, laboratory or other sources
- Responsible for the care and well-being of all residents
- All other duties as assigned
