SUMMARY:
Ground Support Equipment Servicer (Grounds Maintenance Supervisor) reports to the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager in support of North Fort Cavasos project. The primary mission of the North Fort Cavazos (NFC) Grounds Maintenance Section is to ensure grounds maintenance in compliance with project requirements and safety standards. In support of mobilization (MOB), demobilization (DEMOB), and training unit’s transitioning North Fort Cavazos.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the Ground Support personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Inspect grounds and change priorities of work as required to meet project requirements.
- Conduct periodic inspections of ground support equipment to ensure the equipment is maintained and safe for operation.
- Attend weekly Project management briefing.
- Meet with other sections supervisors to ensure joint tasks are complete.
- Recognize and take the necessary actions to solve any problems that may occur.
- Review and approve timecards for ground support section employees.
- Prepare a job plan for each pay period, reflecting ground support personnel hours.
- Able to work a flexible work week. Also be knowledgeable Microsoft Office software.
- Create and submit weekly reports as required.

- This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review/approve timesheets
- Approve Leave Request
- Review and update Job Descriptions and complete performance evaluations
- Conduct performance evaluations, prepare corrective actions, and initiate improvement plans in coordination with HR/Employee Relations.
- Hire, train, and develop staff.
- Oversee daily department workflow and scheduling.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Must have valid state driver’s license and be able to maintain post driving privileges.
- Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card
- Preferred grounds maintenance operation experience
- Preferred experience operating tractor shedder combination
- Preferred experienced operating zero steer mower
- Knowledgeable Microsoft Office software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the ability to work indoors or outdoors in bad weather. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate ground support equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to prevailing weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Able to work a flexible work week. Will work a 40-hour work week, with a possibility to work weekends and holidays. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
