What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personnel Assistant I AG Clerk (Personnel Assistant (Employment I) (SGLI) position at The Logistics Company?
The Adjutant General Clerk (AG) works with Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) Site Adjutant General (AG) section in processing of Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD214, DD93) and Release from Active Duty (REFRAD) orders. Maintain professionalism at all times and provide customer service to each service member.
· Performs final out-processing of all enlisted and officer separation
· Furnishes orders to separating Soldier and explains purpose and use of REFRAD orders for transportation purposes, travel allowances, and in some cases, disability severance pay
· Ensures all reports are turned in and meets all suspension times.
· Reviews correctness of DD214, DD93, and REFRAD orders.
· Advise service member on action required prior to separation.
· Ensures required documents are collected and DD214 and DD93 are accurate, prior to signature of Soldier and Designated Reviewer/Signer (CTR)
· Shall make required distribution and web upload of the separation packets to appropriate Army Component Headquarters.
· Must record Service members attendance into correct Army tracking program (TRANSPROC)
· Understand, comply, and enforce all Project directives and the The Logistic Company (TLC) Employee Handbook’s policies.
· Will support and enforce the QC/Safety’s Programs guidance.
· Will comply with all OSHA regulatory safety standards.
· Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays.
· Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.
· Knowledge of Army rank structure
- Familiar with applicable Army and Joint Travel regulations and DOD pay Entitlements.
· Knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 through 500-3-5 and the Personnel Policy Guidance
· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Ability to monitor/assess performance of self, other individuals and organizations to make improvements or task corrective action
· Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
· Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Organization skills to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision
· Intuitive, interpretive, and analytical comprehension to rapidly identify and resolve problems
· Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
· Must be able to perform under deadlines
· Excellent reasoning and problem solving skills
· Must have a very high degree of attention to detail
· Must be capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods
