SUMMARY:
Assist the Security Manager for North Fort Cavazos and the Mobilization Division, DPTMS. Augment the Fort Cavazos garrison to provide a full range of Information Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security and supporting program management and support services IAW applicable security regulations in support of mobilization operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide personnel security clearance management support, guidance and assistance to personnel and organizations and determining the eligibility of any person for a security clearance.
- The conduct of administrative hearings to determine the eligibility of any person for a security clearance
- Provide security clearance management support; monitor security investigations; provide EPSQ eAPP assistance
- Maintain Security Clearance rosters of units deploying (adding and removing of soldiers and researching and interpreting clearance verification for those to be added)
- Provide industrial security program support, guidance and assistance to classified (non-SCI) contracts let in support of personnel and organizations.
- Provide Security Education, Training and Awareness support, guidance, assistance and products to personnel and organizations
- Maintain logs/tracking systems for security documents that flow thru the security cell
- Conduct OPSEC, INFOSEC and anti-terrorism briefings for MOB/DEMOB units
- Initiate DA Form 7708, Command Oriented Arms, Ammunitions, and Explosives (AA&E) Security Screening and Evaluation Record for processing
- Provide mobilizing unit's clearance verification percentage
- Attend In Progress Review (IPRs) Briefs for mobilization units
- Assist mobilizing units and other organizations with the activation and deactivation of Arms Rooms.
- Provide mobilizing soldiers with security clearance verification memos
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations related to Arms Room operations.
- Utilize The Defense Information System for Security (DISS) (supersedes JPAS) for mobilizing personnel
- Submit reports as required
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations related to Arms Room operations.
- Recognize and take the necessary actions to solve any problems that may occur
- Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Must have three years’ experience in staff support, security operations, and/or information security
- Highly knowledgeable of DOD/Army security, OPSEC, etc. requirements
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Knowledge of applicable security regulations
- Active Secret Clearance
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Common Access Card
- Must have valid state driver’s license and be able to maintain post driving privileges
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office software
- Employee is expected to have strong communication skills, make informed decision, and maintain a safe work environment while upholding company policies and fostering teamwork.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Work performed indoors. Hours of operation 07:30 to 16:30. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
