Job description
Are you an occupational therapy assistant who is looking to provide services to the whole child rather than reading an assessment? We are The Whole Child Academy- a non-traditional, K-12, private day school for twice exceptional learners, and as our name implies, we teach the whole child. All of our sessions include 1:1 and small group settings which maximizes student engagement and overall occupational performance. We are project based and have exceptional support systems that encourage cross-curricular learning.
Duties and Responsibilities of COTA:
-highly qualified to treat K-12 students with varying exceptionalities.
-flexible and creative hands-on interventions
-reliable and dependable
-committed to treating students at their levels, grading activities to their interests and learning styles, while following a multi-sensory approach.
-experience working with students w/ ADHD, executive functioning and sensory processing issues, social/ emotional challenges (anxiety, depression, school reluctance) and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Experience and Requirements of a COTA:
-Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
-Board Certified through NBCOT and a member of the AOTA
-Licensed and insured, independent contractor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
