What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregivers Needed in Puyallup position at The Long-Term Care Foundation of WA?
Adult Family Home in Puyallup is looking to fill multiple position and may have a live-in position available.
Experience with a Hoyer is preferred.
This home has 6 residents at this time.
If working multiple days in a row, there is a caregiver room which is available.
This AFH is looking for someone that is independent, gentle, able and willing to adapt to residents routine and familiar with MAR/giving meds.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by the resident's physician
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Follow all resident rights policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff
- Experience with medication administration is a plus
- Familiarity with home care services and dementia care techniques is beneficial
Please note that heavy lifting may be required in this role. Applicants must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
