Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently delivering food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain a smooth, high-quality service. You must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and maintain a professional and friendly demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
- Ensure food presentation is consistent with restaurant standards before serving.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including clearing empty dishes and ensuring utensils are ready for the next round.
- Assist with restocking supplies as needed during shifts.
- Monitor guests’ needs and provide assistance to servers when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and special dietary requirements, to answer guests’ questions or direct them to appropriate staff.
- Ensure a clean and organized environment at all times.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Qualifications:
- 2 years of bartending experience in a high volume or luxury setting
- Experience working in high-end hotel outlets environment strongly preferred
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to take ownership of issues
- Ability to embody and impart the Loren’s unique culture to all associates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required.
Policy and Service Responsibility
- Must adhere to all hotel loss prevention guidelines
Physical Requirements
- Able to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand at least 80%
- Must be able to sit and squat frequently
