Job Summary
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue by seeking out new and existing accounts while maximizing bookings for rooms, banquets, and meeting spaces. This role requires an energetic and results-driven individual who can build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with various hotel departments to ensure an excellent guest experience.
Responsibilities
• Solicit new and existing accounts through proactive telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication to meet and exceed revenue goals.
• Drive revenue growth by selling all aspects of the hotel, including rooms, banquet facilities, and event spaces to both new and existing clients.
• Lead the sales process, including presentations, contract negotiations, and closing of sales to generate business.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure client requirements are met and events are executed smoothly.
• Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
• Maintain detailed records of account information, including correspondence, contracts, and sales reports.
• Provide clear direction and support to hotel departments to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
• Attend and participate in trade shows, industry events, and community functions to build the hotel’s visibility and network within the industry.
• Participate in daily resume and business review meetings and collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and hotel goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
• 3 years of sales experience, ideally within a boutique hotel setting.
• Proven experience in generating revenue through room, banquet, and event sales.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
• In-depth knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customers in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to develop and implement action plans to meet and exceed sales objectives.
• Team player with a collaborative approach to achieving business goals.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
