Position Summary
Responsible for the oversight of the LACC Pickleball program, teaching pickleball lessons and organizes/coordinates all pickleball specific clinics. In addition, this position will pick up tennis lessons after hours when tennis instructor is not on the schedule or not available. Keeps a clean, organized work environment and is attentive to all member and guest needs with regard to pickleball play.
General Position Responsibilities
- Achieve and maintain seamless member relations and services that exceed expectations
- Communicate with members and guests regarding inquiries pertaining to general pickleball and tennis rules, dress code, technology policy and all racquet related inquiries
- Provide professional racquet instruction and product knowledge
- Provide individual and group instruction
- Write monthly pickleball article for Club bulletin and provide photos and event information to the Director of Marketing
Responsibilities Specific to Pickleball
- Manage all responsibilities and tasks pertaining to the pickleball operations
- Work with Racquet Committee members and Chairman on pickleball court maintenance, improvements, events and overall budget
- Provide the Director of Marketing & Communications with yearly pickleball events calendar
- Execute successful pickleball tournaments and events to exceed member and guest expectations
- Facilitate the ordering of supplies, prizes and trophies needed for pickleball tournaments and events
- Provide detailed summary income sheets and review for each pickleball event for the purpose of improving operations for the following year

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
- Self-motivated, able to promote and market
- Ability to communicate in high intensity work environments
- Attention to detail
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Desire for continued education in the pickleball and racquet industries
Education
- High school graduate required
- College graduate preferred
- USPTA Elite Member in Good Standing preferred
Experience
- One (1) year previous professional experience in country clubs or racquet clubs preferred

Grooming
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per club standards. Attire must meet the Club’s racquet dress code and attire requirements at all times
Other
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Compensation
Competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Salary : $25 - $27
