About the CompanyWe are currently seeking a Senior Civil Trial Attorney to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to handle a semi-autonomous caseload, with a focus on high-exposure cases.About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of civil litigation experience, with substantial first-chair experience in at least ten jury trials and five bench trials in California State Superior Court. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil litigation, from case inception to verdict. This includes conducting initial case assessments, overseeing discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing motions, engaging in pre-trial negotiations, advocating in the courtroom, and handling post-trial motions. You will also gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research in preparation for hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Additionally, the Senior Civil Trial Attorney will conduct legal research, stay current on relevant laws and regulations, and keep clients informed on potential impacts to ongoing cases. You will prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents, as well as interview clients and witnesses. Regular communication with clients to provide case updates is essential. This is a hybrid, full-time position. The first two weeks of employment will require in-person presence at our Fullerton office. After that, remote work is an option, with in-person meetings as necessary.
