What are the responsibilities and job description for the Photography Fellow position at The Los Angeles Rams?
The Photography Fellow is responsible for leading community photography outreach efforts, provide coverage of events and gameday activities, collaborate on planning and executing photoshoots, and assist with management of achieves and photo database. In addition, the photography fellow will aid in management of internal and external requests along with management of internal freelance photographers and maintaining relationships with external media.
Note: This is a 12-month assignment, with the opportunity to extend for another 12-months.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead photography efforts for community outreach, assist with coverage of corporate partnership events and other events as assigned.
- Edit photos to be used across Rams digital platforms and creative assets.
- Perform digital asset management workflows to build and maintain Rams photo database via Photoshelter.
- Assist with management of internal freelance photography team and maintaining relationships with external media.
- Assist with planning and executing photoshoots including setting up equipment, lighting, and capturing high-quality images.
- Photography support for all Rams home games and assist with editing and archiving for Rams away games.
- Organize, manage and process internal and external photography and imaging requests.
- Assist with providing shot lists and photo direction for game days, campaigns, and other requests.
- Collaborate with creative, social, and video teams for assigned projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):
- Strong photography skills with an eye for creativity.
- Will be required periodically to lift and carry equipment.
- Individuals must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Photo Mechanic, Adobe Bridge, Capture one, Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Candidates must possess great organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Highly proficient with photo editing in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in professional or collegiate sport operations preferred.
- Working knowledge of DSLR camera systems, more specifically Canon.
- Ability to contribute creative solutions in a collaborative environment.
- Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Salary: $68,640/yr.
