What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Mgr., Partnership Mgmt position at The Los Angeles Rams?
The Los Angeles Rams are searching for a Senior Manager who is passionate about driving sports partnerships forward and will be a dynamic leader and individual contributor within our Partnership Management team. This individual will lead an assigned portfolio of Corporate Partnership Accounts with a focus on delivering world-class service and strategic activation as the Rams continue to raise the standard for partnership retention and growth.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a solution-oriented mindset, strong organization and communication skills, and carries themselves with a positive team-centric mentality. Ideally, the chosen candidate will have experience working in an account management role in professional sports (property, agency, or brand) and understands the requirements to build and deliver meaningful brand partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead partnership service and activation for a designated set of Rams Corporate Partnership Accounts (8 accounts)
- Serve as the primary internal and external day-to-day contact for execution and fulfillment of assigned partnerships
- Fulfill partnership agreements to ensure all contracted deliverables and client expectations are met, including but not limited to TV, radio, stadium signage, digital & social assets, email marketing, print advertising, in-game promotions, tickets and hospitality
- Develop strong working relationships with partners and agency leads to build credibility and have a clear understanding of their marketing objectives and KPIs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Rams organization to ensure world-class execution including: partnership operations, strategy, sales, research, creative, brand marketing, studios, PR/communications, merchandising, studios, football affairs, community relations, ticketing, player marketing, etc.
- Oversee partner-led special events throughout the year, including client hospitality events, community initiatives, and stadium events (gameday and non-gameday)
- Oversee the development and presentation of mid-season and end of season partner recaps, and additional proof of performance materials as needed
- Track partner expenses and manage account budgets to ensure accurate expense activity to maintain account growth
- Identify opportunities to increase annual partner investments via upsells and new activation elements
- Collaborate with Corporate Partnership Sales, Strategy and Insight teams to develop renewal strategies and proposals that drive partnership retention and deal growth year over year
- Utilize KORE and Asana as a tool for inventory management and fulfillment tracking
- Opportunity to oversee a direct report on the Partnership Management team
- Flexibility to work Rams games at SoFi Stadium and additional partnership events held throughout the year, including weekdays and weekends
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):
- Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time corporate partnership and / or account management experience with a professional team, league, brand, or sports marketing agency
- Dependable self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines for clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate plans with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Ability to balance internal priorities with client expectations
- Strong team player who displays accountability, reliability and support to teammates
- Solution-oriented mindset and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000
