Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment. As a Dishwasher, you will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall efficiency of our food service operations.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen workspace.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including prepping ingredients for cooks and chefs.
- Remove trash and maintain proper waste disposal procedures.
- Support other kitchen staff with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas when necessary.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations or hotel kitchens is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
