Job description: PRN Physical Therapy Assistant
Bradenton, Florida
We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to work at our Venice, North Port, and Port Charlotte Campuses. Therapy services will be provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental delays on The Loveland Center’s campus.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide Physical Therapy treatments to patients according to treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist the Physical Therapist with the establishment of goals and POC.
- Observe, record, and report to the patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to treatment.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients as directed by the Physical Therapist and company policy.
- Reports to work as scheduled.
- Communicate with Physical Therapists in consulting with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals, as appropriate.
- Practice efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Active State license required in good standing.
Education:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience preferred, open to new graduates.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices, and equipment.
- Good communication skills. A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of clients.
- Ability to assess and implement treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $27.00- $30.00 per hour.
