Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Manager to oversee our thriving bakery operation at The Lovin Oven. The Bakery Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, supervising staff, maintaining quality control, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in bakery or food service management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of The Lovin Oven bakery, including production, inventory control, and customer service.
- Ensure the highest quality of baked goods through adherence to recipes, portion control, and consistent standards.
- Lead, train, and supervise bakery staff at The Lovin Oven, providing guidance and support to promote teamwork, productivity, and exceptional customer service.
- Develop and maintain a positive work environment at The Lovin Oven that fosters employee engagement, motivation, and professional growth.
- Monitor and control inventory levels at The Lovin Oven, ordering supplies as needed and minimizing waste.
- Implement and enforce food safety and hygiene standards at The Lovin Oven, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with The Lovin Oven bakery owner/management to develop and implement strategies for business growth, marketing initiatives, and menu expansion.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for bakery staff at The Lovin Oven, providing constructive feedback and recognition for achievements.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints at The Lovin Oven, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Manage bakery finances at The Lovin Oven, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bakery or food service management, with a strong understanding of bakery operations and production.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Exceptional customer service skills at The Lovin Oven and the ability to create a positive and welcoming environment for customers.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency in baked goods at The Lovin Oven.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in bakery or food service management, preferably in a similar establishment.
- Formal culinary or bakery education is a plus.
