What You'll Do:
As a Project Leader, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the design, construction, and commissioning of engineering projects. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in engineering designs, addressing health, safety, and environmental factors.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report financial performance to senior management.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, defining tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Review and approve engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee the execution of engineering projects, managing technical work packages and coordinating resources.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and project closeout activities.
- Identify and manage project risks, implement quality assurance processes, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in project engineering in industrial contexts, including project design, delivery, construction, and commissioning.
- Expert knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations.
- Experience working within cross-functional project teams on multiple projects, with responsibility for engineering design through to commissioning and handover.
- Proficiency in CAD software, other engineering tools, Microsoft Office, and documentation management.
Considered a Plus:
- Preferred status as a Professional Engineer (PE, CEng) license or equivalent.
- Certification as PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Experience in chemical processing and facilities.
- Experience using SAP
Working Conditions:
- M-F 8 hours with possibility for occasional overtime
- Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to use ladders and stairways to access roofs and equipment
- Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment.
- Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection.
- Must be willing/able to be exposed to inclement weather while moving throughout the plant during the work day as required.
- Expected to wear all required PPE.
