What You'll Do :
Lubrizol has an immediate need for a Sr. Scientist in our Automation and Method Development team. This person will work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional project teams to deliver differentiated, value-added next generation innovative and sustainable solutions in the Beauty, Health, and Home segments, leading the technical characterization / development aspect of projects.
What We're Looking For :
- Develop, optimize and standardize performance test methods.
- Incorporate automation for implementation of next generation evaluation and analysis tools.
- Utilize technical knowledge, data, statistical tools, etc. to solve technical challenges.
- Develop structure-performance relationships.
- Characterize and develop new ingredients to be used in beauty, health and home applications.
- Plan, conduct and manage scientific experiments : Accurately record, interpret, analyze, and draw conclusions from data.
- Document experimental results and prepare technical reports.
- Interpret and communicate results to colleagues, sponsors, and customers.
- Work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional project teams.
- Identify new opportunities and conduct appropriate feasibility studies.
- Support Lubrizol's IP strategy. Publish in technical journals, present at technical conferences as needed.
- Follow safe laboratory practices.
