Nutrition Assistant I (Full-time)
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Associate's degree in nutrition, public health, maternal and child health, or related field required.
- Certified WIC Nutrition Assistant with college coursework in maternal and child health / nutrition is accepted in lieu of associate’s degree.
Description of Duties :
- Conducts nutrition, breastfeeding / chestfeeding, and health education contacts for WIC Program applicants and participants.
- Performs nutrition and breastfeeding / chestfeeding risk assessments, including individual education and breastfeeding / chestfeeding support for low-risk women, infants, and children participating in the WIC Program.
- Distributes WIC cards in accordance to established procedures and performs clerical functions to support WIC Program site operations.
Position requires a background check and health clearance.
