Company Description The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center is a nonprofit organization in the center of downtown Carpinteria with the mission of creating a vibrant community through the arts by offering various arts education programs, community events and an art gallery, in addition to a venue rental space.
Position D escription : The Gallery Coordinator oversees the Charles Lo Bue Gallery, manages gallery volunteers, gallery promotion and the point of sales system. This is an in-person position that requires occasional lifting of up to 40lbs.
Required Skills : Excellent customer service and communication skills, Point of Sale system, Word, Excell, Outlook, Google Calendar, Canva and Social Media proficiency
1. Oversee the Charles Lo Bue Galler y and volunteers during the gallery hours of 12-4pm
- Work with the exhibition committee and gallery hosts to support gallery operations
- Produce printed material for gallery
- Recruit and train new gallery hosts and monitor volunteer signups
- Manage point of sale software, gallery webpages and gallery Google calendar
- Support gallery hosts with POS software and how to navigate website to answer questions regarding events and upcoming classes for customers over the phone or in person
- Produce sales reports and manage retail and consignment inventory

The Gallery Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.
The pay range is $23-$25 per hour depending on experience. Prorated holiday pay and paid time off are included, along with opportunities for professional development.
