What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook PM position at The Madison Concourse Hotel?
The Madison Concourse Hotel has an opening for a creative and talented Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! This is a full-time position with the general hours of 2:30pm-10:30pm. Must be flexible to work any day of the week. Starting wage for this position is $20 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts following established recipes and plating guidelines
- Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation, maintaining consistence in taste, texture, and appearance
- Collaborate effectively with the culinary team, communicating and coordinating during busy service hours to ensure smooth operations
- Execute proper food handling and sanitation procedures, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in managing inventory, monitoring freshness, and coordination with the Culinary leadership team and other departments to maintain adequate stock levels
- Adapt to special dietary requests or restrictions, ensuring all guest needs are met with excellence
- Embrace feedback and continuously strive for improvement
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a hotel or similar high-volume culinary environment
- Solid understanding of culinary techniques and a creative mindset to elevate flavors and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, collaborating effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Culinary education is a plus, but not mandatory
