Job Title: Outdoor Maintenance
FLSA: Non-exempt
Status: Part-Time or Full-time
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Job Purpose: Provide ongoing assistance to the Maintenance Department working in an outdoor role
Time Allocation: Schedule may occasionally change to accommodate needs of the Maintenance Department. Working at least one weekend day each week is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with the daily set up and maintenance of outdoor exhibit areas;
· Manage the parking lot including guest vehicles, school buses, and deliveries;
· Manage the distribution of Museum deliveries;
· Grounds keeping and maintenance duties integral to maintaining our Museum campus and facilities;
· Assist with special projects as needed including the installation/take down of outdoor holiday decorations and temporary exhibits;
· Provide cold weather support by spreading salt and shoveling of walkways;
· Works as a team member with Museum management to provide a safe and customer-focused environment;
· Support the overall building and maintenance department as needed;
· Serve as a member of the team assisting with the installation of temporary, traveling, and permanent exhibits;
· Participate in trainings as required by the organization;
· Perform other duties as assigned;
Qualifications
· Minimum Education: high school diploma; college degree preferred;
· Previous experience working in an outdoor maintenance role;
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
· Demonstrates good judgment with the ability to solve problems by weighing and evaluating options;
· Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills;
· Excellent customer service skills: helpful, friendly, and patient attitude;
· Ability to multi-task with a high level of output, detail, and accuracy;
· Positive, optimistic attitude;
· Reliable and dependable;
· Strong work ethic;
· Ability to move up to 50 lbs.;
