Overview:

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audit Manager to join a dynamic team at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company headquartered in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing internal audit functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving operational excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and collaborate with senior leadership in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audits, ensuring adherence to company policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework, identifying and mitigating risks across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to audit staff, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Act as a liaison between internal audit and external auditors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Stay current with changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards, implementing updates to audit practices as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in internal or external audit, with a strong preference for candidates with Big 4 experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CIA, or CISA certification strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and risks within a Fortune 500 environment is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
