Essential Functions and Responsibilities of Commercial Lines Account Manager :
- Function as main point of contact for the client. Address general questions, provide guidance on appropriate coverage changes and / or contractual requirements, informs / educates client on exclusions and exposures, prepares binders prior to expiration date, and resolves accounting discrepancies. -Service existing book(s) of business to the highest levels of industry standards, maintain complete and proper documentation, create suspense triggers for follow ups. Update policy records in agency management system (EPIC). -Monitor expiration lists and manage renewals by contacting clients. Review new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. for accuracy. Prepare correspondence to insured and / or carrier as needed. -Collect and prepare renewal information such as loss-runs, Acord applications and quotes using carrier portals and online submission platforms. -Develop and coordinate the execution of renewal timelines. -Create, deliver, and present renewal and new business proposals, quotes and presentations (oral and written). May be required to attend client meetings, training and conferences. -Respond to client questions promptly and professionally -Ensure that all regulatory, compliance and transparency requirements are met. Comply with all agency policies and procedures. -Invoice and prepare financing agreements. Process payments by check, credit card, or electronically. Ensure payment accompanies bind instructions. -File claim reports online or via telephone. Assist clients / policyholders to resolve claim issues in the event of a loss.
Education and / or Experience :
Account Managers are expected to have some college and significant Insurance Industry related experience; or combination of education and experience.
License :
Arizona Property & Casualty Insurance License is REQUIRED of Account Manager.
