Retail Shipping Associate

Established mailbox, shipping, packing, and retail business in north Ballard seeking reliable team members for FT or PT shifts. A 6.5-hour Saturday shift is required (10:00am to 4:30pm). You bring excellent customer service skills and an eagerness to learn; we offer paid training on the rest!

A cheerful disposition, quick sense of humor, ability to multi-task and problem solve with exceptional attention to detail will slingshot you to top consideration. The shifts end by 6:30pm, allowing you to pursue your passions outside of work.

Responsibilities:

• process and sort incoming mail and parcels for mailbox holders
• process and sort pre-paid parcel drop offs for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL
• determine best shipping options to meet customer needs and produce desired labels using shipping software and postage meter
• produce copies, faxes, scans, print emails, and other business services
• operate POS system and accept payment for services and products
• maintain appearance of the store by restocking merchandise, cleaning displays, reorganizing product, light cleaning/dusting/vacuuming, dumping trash and recycle bins

• Strong PC/Windows experience and the ability to learn shipping-specific software
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and 75 lbs. at times, plus ability to stand 4 consecutive hours at a time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
