What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager/Legal Assistant position at The Major Law Firm?
Responsibilities
This is a full time in office position. Hours required: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
Meet with Attorneys and other staff to discuss assigned cases or projects.
Handle communication with clients.
Communication and follows up with clients through the case and treatment process.
Handle communication with medical providers.
Request medical records and billing.
Request documentation from clients.
Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
Perform general office duties such as typing and sorting mail.
Requesting police reports.
Requesting medical lien information.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior experience preferred but not required
Customer service experience preferred but not required
Bi-lingual: English and Spanish is preferred, but not required- the candidate will speak to clients and needs to be comfortable speaking, writing, and reading in English and Spanish.
Strong organization skills and attention to deal
Must be able to handle pressure of multiple projects and manage time sensitive deadlines
Must be self-starter and take initiative to ensure deadlines are met
Must be be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor
Familiarity with MacOs and Windows Office
Physical Requirements
Working on a computer
Prolonged periods sitting at desk
Compensation: $18 - $28 per hour depending on experience.
Compensation determined based on a wide array of factors including skill set, years & depth of experience, and certification.
