The Makery is seeking a creative and organized Studio Assistant to join our team! This part-time position plays a key role in maintaining the daily operations of our studio, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our artists, customers, and guests. This role is perfect for someone with a background in the arts or a passion for creativity, as it involves assisting with a variety of studio tasks, customer engagement, and supporting our artistic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle opening and closing procedures, ensuring the studio is secure and ready for use.
- Maintain cleanliness of classroom spaces, kitchen, and bathroom areas.
- Process sales transactions accurately and manage the front desk, including answering phone calls and assisting walk-in customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with any other duties as needed to support studio operations and classes.
Schedule:
- Thursday: 3:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday: 3:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Additional hours may be required during peak times or special events.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the arts or a background in art-related fields preferred.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage and assist clients and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Comfortable working with diverse groups of people and fostering a creative, inclusive environment.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
