What will you be doing?
As an Assistant Director, you will work with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
- Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
- Assisting the Center Director with adherence to child care licensing requirements as well as internal policies of the company.
- Handling administrative duties within the center office.
- Substituting as Center Director in the event of their absence.
- Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years of work experience OR Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with 1 year of work experience required
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Must be able to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment
