Status : Exempt, Full-Time
Salary : $150K - $175K Annually, DOE

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE :
As our Corporate Senior Controller, you are the Leader of the Corporate Accounting Team, responsible for supporting internal clients and external partners. This role requires energy, a winning vision, and an innate drive to motivate others by emphasizing the importance of developing a collaborative and encouraging work environment. Your mission is to ensure the Trust’s corporate accounting and financial reporting functions provide accurate and timely financial statements, comply with U.S. GAAP, and use best practices supported by a strong system of internal controls. You will also play a critical role in financial planning and analysis and provide leadership in the continued evolution of corporate accounting operations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure accurate and timely corporate accounting deliverables, supported by best practices policies and procedures for all accounts
- Manage and establish internal controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure financial statements, reports, and deliverables are free of material misstatement
- Understand the Trust’s business, seeking to develop scalable, value-added accounting procedures that are flexible to keep pace with the business
- Provide priority support to the Executives and HQ Leadership teams
- Assist internal partners to ensure their financial understanding of functional areas and responsibilities
- Partner with the Division Controllers to provide strategic support for the Division Presidents
- Present financial information to the Executives, HQ and Divisional Leadership, External Auditors, and Others, as needed
- Be the key contact responsible for coordinating financial and governmental audits
- Be the Trust’s technical accounting Expert, staying current with the latest GAAP authoritative guidance and conducting research as required
- Be the Trust’s expert on its corporate accounting system(s). This includes participation in continuing education to stay on top of the latest technological developments
- Take the lead on company initiatives emphasizing financial information related to financial data, Banking, Payroll, Scalability, Accounting Processes, and Innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth, strategic initiatives, and acquisitions
- Evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting systems and processes.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvement
- Be a Corporate Banking Administrator
- Be the Trust’s expert on accounting regulations and routinely implement necessary changes to ensure compliance
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including updates to the corporate accounting system, variance analysis, budget review, and participation in identifying tools and applications to optimize this process
- Provide support, including requested reports, to ensure accurate and timely information is available for the Executive Summary report
- Ensure monthly Corporate Revenue, A / R, and Billing are prepared accurately and timely.
- Assist in researching and collecting outstanding Corporate A / R
- Be responsible for corporate expense recognition, monthly accruals, and the AP process, including the procedures and internal controls for processing corporate disbursements, including checks, ACH, and credit cards
- Address corporate A / P vendor issues
- Provide oversight of the Trust’s cash flows, ensuring proper accounting for sources and uses of cash, with emphasis on appropriate spend
- Monitor and analyze revenue, EBITDA, and contribution results and provide recommendations for improvements based on your knowledge of the business
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the corporate accounting team, fostering professional development and career growth
- Define standards, policies, procedures, and performance measurement to meet the operational goals for corporate accounting
- Train staff on systems, processes, procedures, and GAAP standards
- Lead the recruitment process for accounting team members
- Build strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
