As a Valet Attendant at The Manchester Hotel, you will be an integral part of the guest services team, responsible for creating a positive first impression and ensuring a seamless outstanding experience for our guests. This role involves providing excellent customer service and safely and efficiently managing valet parking services.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Arrival and Departure
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Assist with the check-in and check-out process, providing information about the hotel's amenities.
Luggage Assistance:
- Safely handle guests' luggage, transporting it to and from rooms promptly.
- Offer assistance with carrying luggage and provide information about room features.
Valet Parking:
- Collaborate with the valet parking team to ensure a smooth and efficient parking and retrieval process for guests' vehicles.
- Safely drive and park vehicles, adhering to company and safety standards.
Guest Services:
- Provide information about the hotel's facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure coordinated guest services.
- Relay important information about guest preferences and special requests.
Safety and Security:
- Monitor the entrance area for any suspicious activity and report concerns promptly.
- Adhere to safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and their belongings.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to drive manual transmission.
- Ability to wear uniform completely and properly and be neatly groomed.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Capability to run, retrieve vehicles, and lift luggage up to 50 pounds.
- Preferred, but not required: ability to drive a standard (stick-shift) vehicle.
- Ability to use personal cell phone for work purposes.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Physical ability to lift and transport luggage, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
